Vijay Wadettiwar Targets BJP Over ‘Polarisation Politics’, Reacts to Viral Video Row

Date:

Nagpur, Maharashtra, India

Amid the ongoing political controversy surrounding a viral video linked to AJUP founder Humayun Kabir, Congress leader Vijay Wadettiwar launched a sharp attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party, accusing it of using divisive narratives for electoral gains.

Speaking in Nagpur, Vijay Wadettiwar alleged that issues related to religion are being used deliberately to polarise voters. He claimed that when political parties are unable to secure votes based on development, they resort to topics such as Hindu Muslim divisions, temples and mosques, and India Pakistan narratives.

He stated that “doing Hindu Muslim for polarisation is their agenda,” alleging that such strategies are used to influence voter sentiment.

Wadettiwar further remarked that discussions around certain international issues are selectively raised, suggesting that some topics are highlighted while others are avoided. He also made a reference to China, indicating that political discourse does not focus equally on all global matters.

In his statement, he also referred to Asaduddin Owaisi, alleging that Owaisi’s political role indirectly supports the BJP. This claim adds to the long standing political debate among parties regarding vote division and electoral strategies.

He alleged that certain leaders play a role that benefits the BJP, intensifying the political narrative around alliances and indirect support.

The remarks come in the backdrop of the viral video controversy involving Humayun Kabir, which has triggered political reactions from multiple parties. Leaders across the spectrum have been making statements and counter statements, further heating up the political atmosphere.

It is important to note that these comments are political allegations and opinions expressed by a party leader, and there has been no official confirmation or response from the parties mentioned regarding these claims.

The statement reflects the sharp and often confrontational tone of political campaigning, where parties accuse each other of using divisive tactics to influence elections.

With elections approaching, such exchanges are expected to intensify, shaping the political discourse and influencing voter perceptions across regions.

The controversy continues to evolve, with leaders from different parties presenting their viewpoints as the political narrative around the issue gains momentum.
