NAGPUR, MAHARASHTRA — BJP leader Parinay Fuke has made strong statements on multiple issues ranging from law enforcement to cultural identity, underlining the state government’s stance on accountability and regional integrity.
Speaking on the Ashok Kharat ‘Bhondu Baba’ case, Fuke asserted that strict action must be taken against individuals who mislead people under the guise of religious or spiritual influence, regardless of their background or faith. Referring to such figures as “Bhondu Baba,” he emphasized that deception in the name of religion cannot be tolerated in any form.
He stated that whether such individuals belong to Hindu, Muslim, or any other religion, the law must act equally. According to him, the state government, under the Mahayuti alliance and leadership of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, has the authority and responsibility to take decisive action against such cases. His remarks highlight a firm approach toward maintaining law and order while addressing sensitive issues linked to faith and public trust.
In a separate statement, Fuke also addressed the issue of making Marathi mandatory for auto and taxi drivers in Maharashtra. He strongly supported the move, stressing the importance of preserving and promoting the state’s linguistic identity. He noted that Marathi, being the mother tongue of Maharashtra, must be respected and strengthened across all sectors, including public services.
At the same time, Fuke clarified that Maharashtra remains open and inclusive for people from other states who come seeking livelihood opportunities. However, he added that while there is no restriction on anyone working in the state, it is essential for all residents to respect and uphold the cultural and linguistic integrity of Maharashtra.
The remarks reflect a broader approach that combines strict governance with cultural preservation, as the state continues to address both social challenges and identity-related issues.
